Michael Jackson La Roux Named Fifth In Bbc Sound Of 2009 List

The longlist was inaugurated in December and for every player in the top five will be appointed on a daily basis this week, with Adele successor, revealed on Friday January 9. Consisting of Elly Jackson and Ben Langmaid, La Roux create uplifting dance-pop songs, with influences ranging from Prince, the knife, Michael Jackson David Bowie And Talk Talk. The pair of electropop Roux have finished in fifth place in the BBC Sound of 2009 shortlist. The prestigious list predicts the likelihood of musicians breaking through in the next 12 months and was won last year by the Adele.
